  7. Welcome to Adult Palate 2, just one of many full length movies, photo 
  8. discs, and interactive adventures available from New Machine Publishing.

  14. INSTALLATION:
  15.  
  16. To install, run the INSTALL.EXE program in the \PC directory on the CD-ROM.  
  17. The installation is completely noninvasive and consists only of creating a 
  18. program group and icons in the Program Manager which point to the CD-ROM 
  19. drive applications.
  20.  
  21.  
  22. YOUR NEW ICONS:
  23.  
  24. To begin viewing slides double-click on the Adult Palate 2 icon. Allow 
  25. 5-15 seconds for loading.
  26.  
  27.         The first time the program is run you will be prompted to enter a 
  28.         password.  If you choose to password protect access to this product, 
  29.         only the first 8 characters of the password are recognized.
  30.  
  31.         There are five groups arranged on the main screen.  By clicking on 
  32.         any of the groups, a slide show will begin displaying photos of that
  33.         particular group.  A slide show scrolls through the photos continuously,
  34.         pausing at each photo for a few seconds.
  35.  
  36.         The right arrow advances to the next photo.
  37.  
  38.         The left arrow reverses to the previous photo.
  39.  
  40.         The B button returns to the main menu.
  41.  
  42.         The Q button quits the application.
  43.  
  44.         To hide the controller while viewing full screen photos, just click
  45.         the right mouse button.  Click again to restore the controller.
  46.         
  47.         Click on any picture to enlarge the photo.
  48.  
  49.  
  50.    Menu bar commands:
  51.  
  52.         File
  53.            Menu - Returns to the main menu from viewing photos.
  54.                   Same as clicking on the B button of the controller.
  55.  
  56.            Exit - Quits the program.  Same as clicking on the Q button of
  57.                   the controller.
  58.  
  59.         Slide Show
  60.            On - Scrolls through the photos of the selected girl continuously
  61.  
  62.            Off - Turns the slide show off.
  63.  
  64.         Sound
  65.            On - Plays music repeatedly throughout the application.
  66.  
  67.            Off - Turns the music off.
  68.  
  69. If the music suspends while loading pictures, you need to increase the size
  70. of the audio buffer.  This can be done in Control Panel|Drivers|"[MCI] 
  71. Sound"|Setup.
  72.  
  73. Most of the images in the application (as many as we could fit) are 
  74. available in JPEG, high color format in the \PC\JPGS directory.  To view
  75. them, run the Picture Viewer icon and load them individually.  At 256 colors
  76. these JPEG pictures dither, so you must be using a video resolution HIGHER 
  77. than 256 colors.  
  78.  
  79. As requested by many of our customers, most of the images in the 
  80. application (as many as we could fit) are also included in GIF format.  
  81. They are located in \PC\GIFS.
  82.

  84. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
  85.  
  86. To view the pictures you should have a 386 or better CPU with
  87. 8-bit (256 color) or better graphics, a sound card, Microsoft Windows
  88. 3.1 and DOS 5.0, and a mouse.  Your PC should have at least 4MB of RAM,
  89. and a CD-ROM drive.
  90.  
  91. Be sure Windows is using a display driver that will provide 256 colors
  92. (or higher).  This product is not designed for 16-color displays (e.g., the
  93. standard Windows VGA driver).  If your colors look bad, run Windows Setup 
  94. to install the display driver provided by your video card manufacturer that 
  95. supports 256 colors (any resolution). If you don't have much video memory, 
  96. select "640x480 256 color" in Windows Setup.
  97.  
  98. Operation will be a little faster, the window will be physically largest, 
  99. and best results are expected, if you use 640x480 resolution rather than 
  100. anything higher.  If you operate in 1024x768 resolution, you may find that 
  101. the "small fonts" driver works better than the "large fonts" driver (or, 
  102. less frequently, vice versa, depending who wrote the drivers).
  103.  
  104. ATI's "Crystal Fonts" mode is not supported.  Change the Video driver to
  105. 1024x768 small fonts, or use a lower resolution.
  106.  
  107. If you have problems reading any of your CD-ROMs check the CD-ROM for any 
  108. scratches or finger prints. Use a soft cloth to wipe from the center to the 
  109. edge. CD-ROMs are more vulnerable to damage than audio CDs, so always place 
  110. them in the jewel box or CD caddies whenever possible.
  111.  
  112. Color conflicts can be caused by your wallpaper.  If the program loads up in 
  113. the wrong colors, simply quit, set the wallpaper to [none] in 
  114. Control-Panel|Desktop and run again. 
  115.  
  116. If memory managers such as QEMM or 386 MAX are used and the program does not 
  117. work, sometimes the creation of a system boot disk which loads only the 
  118. necessary devices, all loaded low, will fix the problem.

  135. employees, or agents be liable to you for any consequential, incidental or 
  136. indirect damages (including damages for loss of business profits, business 
  137. interruption, loss of business information, and the like) arising out of 
  138. the use or inability to use the software even if New Machine Publishing has 
  139. been advised of the possibility of such damages. Because some jurisdictions 
  140. do not allow the exclusion of limitation for consequential or incidental 
  141. damages, the above limitations may not apply to you. New Machine 
  142. Publishing's liability to you for actual damages from any cause whatsoever, 
  143. and regardless of the form of the action (whether in contract, tort
  144. (including negligence), product liability or otherwise), be limited to $1.
